Penn State University has a rich football tradition that goes beyond the game itself. The atmosphere at Beaver Stadium on game day is something truly special—it's infectious and unmatched. Tailgating is a big part of the pre-game ritual, with fans gathering in the parking lots hours before kickoff to grill, play games, and show their Penn State pride.

One of Penn State's most beloved traditions is the "White Out" game, where fans clad entirely in white create both a stunning and intimidating visual effect in the stands. The White Out game is among the most anticipated in the nation, making it one of the most expensive to attend, with tickets starting at $250.

A fairly new tradition at Penn State is the mix of "Mo Bamba" with the "We Are Penn State" chant. This tradition took off in 2019 when it was used against Michigan; the stadium was so loud that Michigan was forced to use a timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty.

Penn State football holds significant importance to the university, serving as a unifying force for students, alumni, and the broader community.
