Kyle Jolly!
Who is he ? Kyle Jolly or to me ,Coach is a man who grew up outside of Richmond and played for a small high school called Blessed Sacrament Huguenot. He was a Swiss Army knife with his size , played a little bit of QB , some tight end and all over the dline on defense.
Following his senior year after several all area and all state teams , he took his talents to Chapel Hill where he made the switch to the offensive line.
Following a redshirt freshman season Kyle exploded onto the scene putting up several stellar years in the powder blue. Helping North Carolina reach the Menieke Car Care Bowl back to back seasons and helped execute a pretty successful rebuild going 8-5 both years they reached the bowl. After an All ACC honorable mention season , he we picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers unknowing that they would go onto the Super Bowl that season.
After bouncing around some from Pittsburgh to Atlanta and back to Pittsburgh , Kyle Jolly officially changed his title to Coach Jolly as he picked up his first coaching gig with Old Dominion University as a graduate assistant. That then led him up north to the Washington Huskies. Following his stint with Washington , he ended up in Athens WV at Concord University where I , Fred Minco , met the Jolly Green Giant. All puns intended. After Concord he went to VMI or Virginia Military Institute up until Covid hit. Once that came and shook the foundation of the world , he decided it was time to step down and take on a more daunting task , Family. After his Girlfriend at the time and now wife , followed him all over the country , it was his turn to repay the favor.
The Jolly’s have settle down outside of Tampa where Kyle has a beautiful 1 year old baby boy , a Happy Wife and a Happy life. He’s the Head Coach for Sickles High School where he’s started a rebuild of his own there. One could say he’s the Nanny McPhee of offensive lines LOL.
