For the first and last time this season, potentially, Mitchell Stadium will host four home games. Two high school games and two college games. I don’t know of another stadium in the country that does that, or that is so unique. Mitchell Stadium in Bluefield WV sits on the border of Bluefield West Virginia and Bluefield Virginia and is the host of one of the biggest high school rivalries in the country. The Great American Rivalry Series Beaver/Graham Game or Graham/Beaver Game depending on which side of the state line you are from. The stadium also hosts the Bluefield University Rams from Bluefield VA, and Bluefield State University Big Blues from Bluefield WV.
The first game is tonight with the Graham G-Men hosting the Marion Hurricanes at 7 P.M. Graham, 4-1on the season, their only loss coming from the Union wildcats and Marion is 2-2 on the season.
Friday night Bluefield Beaves host Independence at 7:30 P.M. Bluefield is 1-3, and Independence is 2-2.
On Saturday the Bluefield Big Blues (WV) host Fayetteville State University at 1 P.M. BSU is 1-3 and FSU is 2-2 on the season.
The last game is on Saturday night at 7 P.M. The Bluefield Rams host St. Andrew’s University. BU is 2-2 and SAU is 0-3 on the season.
